Abel, Noah, Naphtali, and Mary have one thing in common. They all found favour in the eyes of the Lord because they pleased the Lord. Abel, a shepherd, brought the best animal offering before the Lord. Noah remained righteous in the midst of persecutions from the people who were watching him building the Ark. Napthali, who had insufficient activities recorded in the Bible, was abounding with favour and blessing from the Lord. And of course, Mary, the mother of Jesus, bore the shame of becoming pregnant as a young virgin. What about the rest of the Bible heroes and heroines, or the missionaries and martyrs who gave up their lives for Jesus? What about the church workers, leaders, and ministers? The Psalmist (Moses) prayed to the Lord to show His favour to you by blessing the works of your hands. Whatever you are called in to do, whether inside or outside the church, for as long as He works with you, that is more than enough favour.
Psalm 90:17 May the favorof the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands. (NIV)
